An interesting observation with wild hogs. I have been looking at diet in the field. The misunderstanding that toads are a mainstay, is not accurate with these populations and maybe most populations.
The problem is, toads are very seasonal and hogs more accurately, neonate hogs, require prey to quickly reach maturity. As mentioned, in the fall, the neonates concentrated on lizards.
This note is interesting.



When approached, she voided, which is common with hogs, She voided lizard eggs shells.
This female is last years hatch and is growing well. Enjoy
