100% het pied bred to normal = 50% het pied. THat's what the female was who laid the eggs...
So, female 50% het pied bred to pastel = 25% possible het babies... Slim odds, I know. And, seeing as how I'll probably never be able to afford a pied male, pointless in all reality.
Still, I like to keep track of the genetics just in case.
And thanks for the compliments on the colors. The three have shed as of today, and the colors are holding strong. Looks like I lucked out on the odds this year, especially with two probable females. In a few years, I could be producing super pastels, which would be awesome.
I'll try feeding tomorrow or Wednesday, and I'll let you guys know how it goes...
