Sounds like he just sort of in human terms, sprained his leg or something like that. I agree with you about the vet, this is nature keep feeding it worms and things, something slow so the frog doesn't hurt its leg more, trying to catch it. I think if you just take it slow, and make sure the nutrition is right, your frog should be fine. It may even not get enough vitamins and the bones aren't able to stay strong, at the pet store they should have some sort of dust for frogs that you can dust onto the bugs before feeding. Also, if you get the freeze-dried worms it should help because it will be easier to catch. Take chopsticks or something and fake movement, your frog should go for it. One other thing, there are dishes that shake that are for lizards and amphibians, so when you put the dead bug in, the bugs will shake and the frog tinks they are alive and will go for it, I've never tried the dish before, but it sounds promising.
