From my experience it is most likely not parasites or anything like that at all. Parasites generally do not leave through the skin, they stay in it and their larva leave via droppings....just not how parasites work thats all. What it PROBABLY is is a cist (however you spell that). We have geckos come in with them at work. You simply pop it and it heals up with some neosporin (like you said). Nothing major, but I cant guarantee you that its what you said without seeing the actual gecko (pictures generally dont come out too well). Take it to a vet and get it checked out, but dont freak out, neosporin in small amounts should not hurt it. A vet visit is good also because you learn about diseases for future reference. Well worth the money if you plan to keep geckos since this is fairly common from what you described.
