RE: banning declawing

I am sure that there are groups that are trying that. I have 18 cats. 2 are declawed and 16 are not. Used to be that if you had a cat and it was inside, declawing was just expected. When the cat got fixed it also got declawed and that was just the way it went. We are away from that now. I think it remains a personal decision that requires much thought before being done. But would rather a cat have a home and be declawed than be kicked out of its home with claws for ruining furniture or scratching the baby.
