My boys are free fed dry food. 2/3 Nutro Natural Choice Senior and 1/3 Science Diet Senior Hairball Formula. Seems to be what works best with them. When I deviate, both either gain together or lose weight together, depending on the new brand. The hairballs stay down best with this mix, too.
