Since the cat is already under the care of a vet with anti-anxiety meds, then you will need to ask about this step I'm going to suggest:



Try getting a Feliway Comfort Zone Plug-in. Or maybe two. They may help.



Also Tufts university has an interactive Feline Behavior specialist who can work with your vet to help the cat. The number for info is 1-508-839-8PET. This may be a number you want to call to find out what is available and how to take advantage of it.



I am very sorry this is going on. I understand how frustrating and scary it must be. It is always difficult when you need to choose between the welfare of humans you love vs the welfare of a well-loved pet. I do hope things will work out.
