Actually ignoring him may be aggravating the problem. He gets even more anxious and eliminates - it's really not out of spite, although it seems to be. Is there any way you can schedule more cuddling and activity with him?



If Elavil seems to be making your cat spacy, ask the vet about Buspar - this also helps in cases where the cat marks do to anxiety.
