oh! cats are not humans, are they? How much easier it would be if we could just talk to them.

Pussycat is spraying to let everyone know it's his territory and he resents the intruders. Spraying is like shouting, "I own this joint! Go away!" It's very aggressive.

Their noses are so acute they can tell if more then a day has gone by since the last time a scent was applied - that's why you have to reapply the Feliway daily. Have you tried the plug in diffuser instead? If nothing else you won't have the chore of going around spraying everyday.

It's been a while since I priced it out, but it use to be cheaper to get diffusers from Foster and Smith if you were going to order more then a one month supply; the savings over time took care of S&H.

Rescue Remedy can also calm down some stressed out cats. I've used it with good results on one cat beating up another, but haven't tried it for spraying. However since you need results NOW, talk to your vet about an anti-anxiety med to give Pussycat before a walk through. Just chalk up the vet visit as a moving cost; with the market so tight right now your really can't afford not to take him to the vet. (our house isn't on the market yet because 4 others on our street have yet to sell. We're worried...)

Best of luck

Elizabeth
