I think you should take her. Introducing her to your current cat might be tricky, but I've had to do this numerous times and after a few days everything will be just fine. Plus, after the cats get used to each other, they might just both benefit from the companionship! Seriously, I think this could turn out to be a 'win-win' scenario!
