I am sorry about your mother. The best thing to do right now is to take things over to her house that have your kitten's smell on them - like blankets and toys and let her cat get used to them.



When the time comes, then you must keep the two cats separated a very long time. You can gradually introduce them with supervised visits and also by putting one in a carrier while the other has free run of the house.
