Well, the vet will probably find something wrong, like parasites or UTI. I've never experienced this as a medical problem, I'm just repeating what I've read and learned through other posts. If it hurts your cat to use the bathroom, they assciate the litter box with the pain and don't want to use it any more. That could be why the litter box seems to be the grossest thing to her, it hurts.

I hope you can get her to the vet quickly!
