Madame gave you some good advice. I doubt if your petting him at the base of the tail is hurting him. He might just be a little sensitive there. You might try the supplements and see if that helps. If you are very concerned and think that this might be affecting his well-being, then a vet check might be the way to go.



Also you could try posting this on the Ask the Holistic Vet on this forum and hopefully get some helpful suggestions. Good luck.
