My cat has been weird long

I have a white bengal male cat Kimba approx 5 years old. He is sunny and vocal on a regular basis. He has been extremly weird since yesterday. He is restless but in a friendly way. He generally does not sit on laps but he wants attention like crazy. he wont stop talking, his nose seems a little warm and his ears are warm also. He has been scratching his ears so I have some ear mite medicine from the vet. he just cant seem to make up his mind on what he wants and is so very underfoot. he does come inside and goes outside. we live in north texas and he has had all his shots and his flea treatment. he is just so much (annoyingly) animated. I have not noticed any scratches or bumps like he was bit by anything nor has the homesituation changed. Is he just freaked about hurricane Ike? he does eat and drink. any input would be appriciated. thank you.
