As long as there is no onion in the baby food (sometimes there is a little to enhance the flavor) and as long as he is getting dry food there shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'd go as light on the baby food as possible just because it doesn't have taurine which is an essetial nutrient for cats. It is usually present in raw meat, but not in cooked meat, so after cat food makers process the meat they add it back in.
