The best thing you could do for this kitty is to get him a vet exam with a full blood work up! Some of his teeth may have to be removed, but this doesn't slow most cats down. In fact they eat BETTER once they are out of pain from dental problems.



There are other senior problems like kidney/liver disease that can cause weight loss, but which can be controlled after being diagnosed. Also the cat could have diabetes.



So please, do the cat a favor and take him to the vet ASAP!
