Vaccine Reaction

Has anyone ever had thier cat given the first rabies vaccine and gotten a reaction? Do those lumps go away? My kitten rec'd his first vaccine 3/26 and now has two lumps at the injection site. I've heard of sarcome developing after repeated vaccines, but not the initial vaccine and am hoping it's just a reactionand that if he is not vaccinated again he will be OK...
