Depending on her basic size, 10 pounds could be a bit overweight for your cat. In general if your cat sort of bulges at the sides when you look at her from the top she is considered overweight. Some cat foods, especially the lite kind have a good picture on the package that shows normal, overweight and obese.



Next time you take the cat to the vet for an exam, get his/her opinion on whether or not your cat needs to lose weight.
