I would have her shaved. The matts will probably only get worse, and make it harder for the kittens to find the nipples. You could take a pair of clippers and do it yourself, but since she's nursing and her breasts are prominent, I'd leave it to a professional, that is unless you're experienced shaving cats

Also, you don't want to shave too terribly close to the skin as the kittens like to knead while they nurse and those tiny claws can be painful!
