my persian cats are not eathing

hi my name is krystle and i just adopted 2 persian cats 2 weeks ago there age is 1year and a half,the problem is they are not eathing there dry food as they were to other owner,i tought that is cause they change house but now i discovered they have a mouth infection they only eat a little moist food,as i work in health centre i got some advice about the problem and i am giving them antibaotics its amoccillin tablets half of 375 mg do you think im diong wrong as i cant efford at the moment to go to the vet pls help me
