advice needed

Last night i discovered to my greates disappointment that one of my kittens has vomitted (i suppose) on my bedsheet while I was not home. I am not totally sure what it was but it looked more like vomiting spot than a diarreal ellimination. Besides the fact that I did not like my bed to be soiled, I got scared whether my kitty is ill or he is angry for some reason at me. In the latter case why would he vomit, he would rather pee on my bed. Does vomitting happen often with cats? I was very disturbed last night with the scene I saw on my bed.
