For those who don't read the meow boards.......my mom is having double mastectomy tomorrow. This is to be done as outpatient

and they will send her home two hours after the surgery! Just

can't believe that. (Well, can since hospitals and insurance companies are all about the bottom line.) They cite less chance of infection as reason. She'll be coming home with me for a while. Not a caregiver so kind of uptight about that but we'll be fine. Guess if a woman didn't have any help at home, they'd just send her out in a taxi since they stressed she'd need

someone to drive her!!! Anyway, all glows appreciated! Katc
