I just wanted to let you know I am taking Stanley in later tonight to say good-bye. I am spending some time with him tonight and going in later. Came home from work early. He didn't respond to the increased Steroids and I talked it over with the vet. He hasn't been eating well for a few days and is slowing down. He didn't touch is food last night (maybe ate a couple pieces I put in front of him, but didn't go on his own). It's been a few days and he is slowing down. She advises tonight, as well. I wanted to let you know now as I won't be in good shape tonight and it might be a couple/few days before I am back on. I did talk to my pet sitter and she'll stop by three times a day next week as will my neighbor, so Pookey will have four visits a day from people checking up on him while I am gone.



I just don't know how I will get thru the visit at the vet tonight and coming home, but I will, so many of us have done this before and will do it again. This decision has been so difficult.
