Since this boy is so friendly, it's possible he belongs to someone. Maybe if you put up some "found cat" flyers around the town in vets offices, supermarkets, street poles, schools, libraries etc, someone will come claim him. In the meantime, maybe you could have him neutered at least? Is there a rescue group in your area that might help? Sometimes you have better luck with the smaller rescues than with the shelter.....especially if the shelter euthanizes. Good luck.
