>>There is a feral cat that has lived around our house for a couple/few years. I only occasionally catch a glimpse of her. She runs even hearing the car coming up the driveway! I know she has had at least one litter in our wood pile, where she hunts for chipmunks. She looks pretty healthy, what I can see of her anyway.

>>

>>My question is, how to get her to be not so afraid of us? If I can't fully tame her, it would be neat to get close enough to feed her, and maybe even get her neutered.

>>

>>Any suggestions?

>>thanks

To get her spayed, you can get have a heart traps. Put some food in it and she will probalby go right in. Usually the local shelter/humane society has a trap you can use for free with a secruity deposit. They also may have a feral cat fund that helps pay for the spaying.

Once she is spayed keeping her in a large dog crate with food/water and litter box until she is healed is the best thing to do. At that point you can try to tame her. PHWildcat has some feral cats. She probably had good advice. She posts up in the kitten forum.
