I need help!!!!

I found a cat maybe kitten and i have been feeding him and he stays at my house(outside) like all the i think he is a stray i think he might be a kitten because a mom cat that i was feeding had a kitten that looked like him so he might not be even a year but i want him to get a good home and not be outside he will not let me touth him but i can get like a foot from him when i feed him i lay by the food and he comes up and eats but when i move he does to i think if i try harder he will let me pet him but how do i get him to let me pet him?? and is there any place that will fix him for free or very cheep couse i have no money im 18 and have no job yet i live in kentwood MI!!!Thanks **Dominique**
