URI treatments

My kitty seems to be coming on with a mild URI (nasal drip, occassional sneezing). I've heard that adding L-Lysine, Ecenicia(SP??) and Vitamin C will help. Can someone tell me what the recommended ammounts are of each of these and whether or not I need to increase them gradually (I've heard Vit C can be irritating to tummy).
