It is all good and fine to keep your snakes in a responsible manner, but that is not going to stop others from being irresponsible and causing legislation. We need a unifying body and a standard for hot keepers above what is already available. We need a voice and an organization to police and protect our rights. There needs to be a standard hot education requirement that should be provided by this body. There also needs to be localized antivenom banks and dues must be paid to these LOCAL sources of antivenom if one wishes to have a license. We need to have less legislation against keeping and more safety standards and selection of which individuals have met these requirements. I am all for taking action, but how do we go about this? Many hot keepers are islands to themselves having little contact with other keepers locally and decent organizations are unavailable to most. | ||
