1) What is the legality involved, are they endangered? Also are they legal in Oregon?'
Don't know that one. I haven't heard that any are endangered.
2) How large do they top out at? The one I'm thinking about will is arescrew sitation which leads to the next questions..'
It depends on the species you have. The C. similis is the largest, and C. pectinata gets up to maybe a few feet STL. Smaller species like C.paleras (sp) are smaller.
3) How can you fatten them up, it isnt emacated (yet) but it is skinny...
Feed a good iguana diet, and supplement with crickets once per week. Don't let it hold out for live prey only.
4) ominvious or herbavor? Recommended diet?
Fully grown C similis can take hoppers and peeps if it wants them, but not too often.
5) besides UVB, sizeable enclosure.. what type of care compaired to a green iguana? (I know it would be differnt but it's a good reference point..
Give it the same environment as a green ig needs, and it will be fine. Not much is written about the care of Ctenosaurus species.
6) Can any one post or direct me to pictures so I can make shure on the sp. and subsp. and any other info that I may need to know?
This site has pics of a number of different cten. species:
