Question on cage size

I am tempted to build my cage for my BCI about 4 foot high to add rock shelves and climbing branches, but after seeing most manufactured reptile cages none are ever this high. So will my now eager to climb young boa stop climbing as she grows bigger? Will I be wasting money and time making an enclosure this high? What are some opinions on the ideal size of enclosures for boas if one wants to view all facets of natural behaviour?
