I really appreciate all of the input. Well, I guess I'm going to go ahead and upgrade filters...why so soon? The Fluval is not working all of a sudden, and I can't figure out why. I turned it off tonight so my son could go to sleep, and then I wanted to see just how much difference it noise it was...went to plug it back in and it just makes noise...no water comes out. I didn't adjust anything...only unplugged it. Soooo...hopefully, they will take this piece of junk back. (Ok, I may be doing something wrong, but I got it working with no problems...and now it's not...ugh!)



The heater seems to be working fine...keeping the water temp nice and cozy for the turtles.



After being gone for the weekend, the water is already cloudy after putting it in late last week...these turtles are proving to be even more difficult than my chameleons (which are supposed to not be that easy to care for). Of course, my son likes the turtles the best, so there is no letting them go any time soon...plus, I'm sure they're too small anyway. Was reading something about turtles being released and I was curious about something...can turtles that were bred in captivity not be released to the wild? I thought that is what was said. I was hoping when they're big enough, that they can go to a nice happy pond...I know, that would be awhile since they grow soooooo slow.
