Posted by: hepcatmoe at Mon Oct 20 22:38:35 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by hepcatmoe ] what kind of substrate would you guys recomend for the red spotted toad, Bufo punctatus? my freind has firebellys and he used peatmoss, i think, and it was wet and after a few days in it, the fb's turned brown/black. what substrate will keep my red spotted toads clean and perty lookin? what kind of setup do u guys have for your toads? any pics? any good ideas on a badace terrarium setup? i know alot of people use pothos and ivy as live plants but i have read that they are toxic. does anybody have experience with them? are they OK as long as the toads dont eat em? any other plants that are easily available that are not toxic? and also how can i keep a live plant in a terrarium that needs to be cleaned on a regular basis? any good questions i have missed? are toads territorial? well i guess that is it. thanks for any help/info. |
