here is what you can do.....go down to your local pet shop, and buy some tubing the diameter of what came with the filter...just put in enough extra tubing so that the output is below your desired water level.



that is what i did and it works fine...i started out with having a waterfall in my livingroom, but i enjoy the quiet much better...enjoy...



BTW, what type of filter did you get? i am just curious....
