Cheer up Gunilla It'll be difficult for a while though. I've been through the same thing when I gave up my rescued uros Uro & Molly. I know what it feels like. I remember you posting about how skittish and afraid, and under weight he was. Gunilla Nico came a long way with you, and because of you he might make it further. You really need time for rescues like that, and it is so hard when you have many others who you have too care for as well. I'm sure you found a nice women to take over Nico's care. I hope you asked her for updates, and pics once in a while. That helped with me and the uros. I rescued one with a major infected tail. It was so swollen the spikes no longer showed. The doctor had to lance and in time after skin grew underneath he peeled off the old tail like a shell. God, that was so scary. I nursed him through it, and back to health, and both live happily with Tee from TnC beardies now. She sends pics once in a while, and she makes me so happy seeing them in the pics together looking happy and healthy, and telling me stories of how attached she is too them. I still think about them often though, just like Nico will come to your mind from time to time. You brought him a long way and nursed him back to health. Without you, Nico might not have made it or might still be locked up in that dark cage with no food and light. You did good for Nico, and knowing in your heart he could have better you made the hardest, but kindest decision for Nico. God Bless you for that Gunilla, and hang in there. Please don't be upset.
