Just how thick does acrylic need to be...

I'm thinking of dimensions roughly 4'x 2'x 2' for the viv. 3/16 seems to be much cheaper than 1/4in. Basically I'd be saving over $40 if I use 3/16, but would it be thick enough?



Still need to call and make a price comparison on glass.
