I got mine in 3 weeks ago and so far so good. It holds the temps very well. The interface is a bit weird at first, but once you do it for a few minutes and understand it, it's very simple. It's VERY nice to be able to control multiple zones with one thermostat. I had to run a thermostat for multiple cages in the past (say keeping Kenyans in one rack at 90 degrees and rosies at 86 in another).
The night drop works like a champ and is adjustable for different sensitivies. My snake room doesn't get very bright so I adjusted it a bit so that my day temps didn't come on at 10AM and go off at 6PM, it's more like 8AM-8PM now which is where I want it.
The alarm feature works well although I haven't hooked up the phone dialer yet. It actually requires an external interface that you have to buy at Radio Shack that I haven't had time to get yet.
All-in-all, very good thermostat and the price is unbeatable. 4 Helix units with night drop will set you back about $550. This unit is $269 shipped!
