What exactly is the water in question being used for? If it is for tadpoles, then I recommend using spring water or tap water that has been treated and aged. For treating, I have found that TetraAqua's AquaSafe works great in removing chlorine, chloramines and heavy metals. It works instantly, but I always let my water age a few days before using it. I use this water for everything from misting, water changes to tadpole rearing water.
