What is the best time to feed my Sav. hatching?

Before I go to work or after work? I put about a dozen 3 weeks old cix. in monring. When i get home about 6 p.m. i feed the 6" hatching larger cix.They seem to like to tear the cix. apart before eating them. Then they go to bathroom and stop eating I was just wondering?
