retic handling

i was wondering if its okay to handle my retic more than once a day. Will that be too stressful on the snake?

At the moment i take him out once a day..its still in the 'getting to know me' stages..so far so good..hasn't striked out at me yet.

But everytime i handle him..he's fine and calm for a while...then it'll start squirming and try to flee from me and i have keep pulling him back. He's quite fast and strong but i can still control him as he's still quite small(bout 4ft) but i was thinking that if this behavior persists it might be a problem when he grows to like 6ft or so.

Will he calm down as time goes by and accept his fate as being my pet?
