How did the female react to the male’s advances? If she continues to eat well, I don’t see a problem with just leaving them together, until she is noticeably gravid. Just keep a real close eye on them to make sure everyone is doing well, and that no one is overly aggressive. Another option would be to re-introduce them again in a few months and see how things go.
