How can i keep my crickets from dying???

i ordered 250 crickets from retilefood.com. I put the all in one of those small plastic aquariums meant for goldfish I guess. I've only had them a little over a week, and the majority dropped dead. i fed them with flukers orange cubes, and tossed in some purified water soaked napkins for moisture. I have no idea what i did wrong. Is the space too small?
