The new corn that we got was that way. He is always in a hurry to GO! He did not like to be picked up at all, After 6 days, he was much better. He did bite my sister. She complained about it, but it did not hurt. Now this is a small snake. 14 inches. I do not know about the bigger ones. Also this snake shed about a week later. I do not know if shedding makes them more skittish.
