Well I've always loved cats, haven't had any since I left home and went to college (13 years ago)... Now that we own our own home, some of the neighborhood wild cats have adopted us. It started with a couple of juvenile cats. They would sit at our back door. We started to feed them table scraps. Then hubby went out and got a bag of catfood. Next thing we looked the two kitties (Twinkle and Sparkle) had brought their momma (whom we named Momma Kitty), and two of their siblings, later dubbed "Pretty Face" and "Calico" and then papa showed up, a lean mean kitten producing machine, who'd recently been strung up by his tail and was missing half of it. Pure black and the only one of the lot who allows petting, we named him Pantera. Hubby, who is allergic to kitties, has made a kitty house on the back porch and regularly is found in the kitchen, looking at them through the sliding glass door, cooing at them like they are little babies.
The kitties love to curl up on the porch rug and look in through the sliding glass door to a few of our snakes that are in the kitchen.
And if the kitties weren't enough, we also have a good dozen tree lizards (kept for stubborn feeders if necessary, and fun for themselves as well), 5 black rats, 1 royal diadem rat, 6 corns, 6 cal kings, 5 appalachicola kings, 1 Arizona Mountain King, 3 eastern chain kings, a ball python, a jungle carpet python, a rosy boa, and a partridge in a pear tree. ----- ~Sasheena
