Wild snake in natural habitat

Here we see a common Aphid-Eating Tree Snake prowling the scrub in search of prey; if not his namesake then perhaps a sassy cricket will do. These 'lil beauties are as common as dirt here in SW Ohio and can often be seen rolling themselves into hoops and racing down the sidewalks like runaway bicycle wheels.

The local indians used to make a tea from the dried limbs of these snakes to treat Manifest Destiny.
