I don't think it is as essential with all the snakes but

from everything I have read on the diamonds I figure it can't really hurt so I offer it to mine. I have talked to some diamond keepers that don't feel it's necessary and others that feel it is a "requirmement". My philosophy is why not offer it to the animals rather than hurt or possibly kill such a beautiful species. Just my 2 cents. Hope this answer helps. By the way I don't offer full spectrum to any of my other animals which include bredl's, JCP's, Coastals, DxJ's, GTP's, Red Tail Boa, Retics, Papuan Pythons, Ball pythons and an Albino Green Burmese.
