females have flat not terribly noticable bulges between the back legs, males on the toher hand have large noticeable buldges. There is a post below of a mali's buldges and i would say it is a male. i am hopefully going to attach the correct picture to the post of my male Rico's Buldges.

Good luck a picture would help; then we can help you figure it out..
