Hi i started brumation early this year because they started to go into brumation the second it started getting cold out side. I brumated them for 7 weeks, and now 2 weeks after taking them out of the frige they are eating, and are very active. they haven't been this active since last summer. They didn't start show breeding behavior yet, but i have a feeling they will very shortly. The lights are on for 10 hours per day, and by the end of next week the lights will be on for 14 hours per day. The male is slowly putting on weight but it doesn't matter because he is over 250 grams, but the female already gained 15 grams within 2 weeks. I dont think she is gravid but, she is putting on so much weight so fast. They aren't eating their usual amount of veggies, but since the male and female are gaining so much weight so fast i think they are eating all their dry foods, lentils, split peas, millet seeds, and iguana pellet mix. Even though they breed last spring and produced hatchlings, this is my first time brumating them. So far everything looks ok. They are active, and the female is digging like nuts. I dont think she can be gravid this early but she is digging, and running around like a maniac. I have 1 nesting box and 1 resting chamber at the bottom of them tank. I have about 8 inces of soil, and so the boxes are beneath the surface, and have a elbow pvc joint so they go down and into the moist boxes. but she is starting to dig under and around the nesting box, lol she did this last spring.
