I do believe it is normal for dragons to drop a little weight. Their instinct tells them it is winter and time to slow down their body systems, BUT if he is rapidly losing weight and is acting sickly, then you should worry. Sounds to me like he is in the process of slowing down and gearing up for burmation. My dragon's usually stop eating when it comes close to being burmation time. They drop a little weight but quickly gain it back plus some at when they wake up again! Just watch his behavior and looks for signs of sickness vs. signs of slowing down.
