Posted by: Jeannie at Wed Jun 4 23:44:23 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Jeannie ] having done some research into lidded vs. lidless (rack) box systems, I can tell you that the lids to underbed boxes are not secure enough for snakes without additional modification. The problem is that they only latch on the ends, leaving a lot of wiggle room in the middle. If you can lift the lid up in the middle without too much trouble, the snake will be able to get out easily. If you want to use an underbed box, you'll have to figure out how to secure the lid and still make it easy to get on and off--and I don't have any answers for that one! [ Hide Replies ]
