I use 50W basking bulbs but I am considering changing to a 60W UV. Mounting the flourecent UV light inside (not in the channel) puts it closer to the animal and with no screen it is more effective. Heat is cumulative. the bottom cage in a stack will be coolest. Middle cages hottest. Top cage slightly cooler as more heat will escape.
